“Remember that a good laugh, an arousing even to what might in some be called hilariousness, is good for the body, physically, mentally. . .” Edgar Cayce reading 2647-1
Edgar Cayce stressed the importance of keeping a light heart in a tough world. Cara will explore how to bring this lightheartedness into our lives by examining humor in the readings and how modern science aligns with Cayce on humor’s impact to our physical and mental wellbeing.
Cara will also share stories from the Cayce archives as well as from her many years as a psychotherapist and spiritual seeker. Included in the talk will be Cayce’s down-to-earth methods for making each day a sweeter, more joyful experience as we navigate through our sometimes turbulent time on this earth.
In what promises to be an enjoyable evening, this talk will add a smile to your face and more spring to your step as we look at the sweeter side of spiritual growth.
After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Houston—Clear Lake, with a B.A. in the Humanities, Cara went on to receive her Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston—Graduate School of Social and has been in private practice as a psychotherapist since 1995.
Her extensive post-graduate training has given her several areas of expertise including working with couples, assisting victims of trauma as well as those suffering from addictions. An experienced public speaker, she has traveled extensively across the nation facilitating workshops and training other therapists, as well as presenting online webinars on various mental health and spiritual topics.
Cara discovered the Cayce readings when she was only 21, and has been a student ever since. In 2013, she presented at an A.R.E conference on Cayce and A Course in Miracles.
She has had a large practice in Houston Texas since 1995, and recently opened her private practice in Virginia Beach Town Center, after her move back to the Tidewater area in 2013. Office and contact info:
